Why Coaching?

SCROLL DOWN

Why Coaching?

“When you know what you want, everything else is problem solving”
Anonymous (i.e, I couldn’t find any definite source on Google)

It's easy to forget that you are more than just a mind. In this always-on world of technology, constant information and apparently limitless possibilities, we spend so much time in our heads that we can forget there's anything else to us. But there is. We're actually pretty powerful beings — a mind, a body, a heart, a gut, and a soul. It's time to join it all up.

The truth is, the things that hold you back and the resources you need to overcome them are ALL internal. Even external factors aren't really that — it's how you react to them that dictates their power over you.

But when we're disconnected from ourselves, it’s a constant and exhausting internal battle between the conflicting voices inside. Blending your formidable intellect with emotion and intuition allows you to face who you really are, and what you really want.

Together, that's the work we'll do.

Recognise this?

Recognise this?

It's the guilt that you SHOULD feel grateful and satisfied with your lot, but that you want more. The sneaking suspicion that it could all crumble at any moment and you've no real idea how you got here. The over-reliance on other people's good opinion to reassure you that you're doing the right thing. The realisation that you can no longer define what makes you, YOU. All you can see are the roles that you play for other people.

In the darker moments, you're anxious, exhausted, lose your temper or withdraw completely. You doubt yourself and your purpose. In the lighter moments, there's simply an absence of momentum. But you stay where you are because you can't think of a better idea.

You can't explain to people what's wrong. It's a feeling — not logical or rational — and you can't seem to think it away.

Maybe it's time to try something different. So what DO you want?

Well, you don't necessarily want to live on cloud nine the whole time, bouncing around full of the joys of spring. Frankly, that might get a little tedious. You just want to feel balanced, grounded, happy, successful, secure.

You want to reconnect to yourself, to what really makes you happy and unique. Maybe even (whisper it...) be confident you're on the right path for you. You want to feel calmer, lose your temper less, and be able to articulate to friends and family what you need from them.

You want to believe in yourself, be clear on how you want to live, and be confident you can make that happen.

You want life to flow again — building a business, being authentic with people, changing careers, maintaining a loving relationship, balancing security and freedom, taking time for yourself.

You want to have more space in your head.

The Experience

The Experience

Life coaching with me is an unparalleled opportunity to get to know yourself, in complete confidence and with zero judgement.

You'll be seen and heard for who you really are, say out loud all the things you've never admitted, and never be wrong. Accepting the control we have over our lives can be pretty scary — my job is to create a place of safety, discovery and partnership for you to do the work.

We'll explore all the assumptions you have about who you are and what's possible for you. We'll look at your behaviours and relationships from new perspectives, connecting your emotions, intellect and intuition to unlock new ways of being.

Exactly HOW we do this will depend on you as an individual — my approach includes structured frameworks, reflection, storytelling, drawing, visualisation, life maps, and everything in between — but it’s fluid and it’s creative.

This is about lifelong transformation. It's not performance coaching and it's not mentoring, and there isn't a neat three-step process. It can be tough and it can be messy and I am right in there with you. It's an opportunity to pause, reflect, and choose different ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. And THAT is seriously powerful.
